This past weekend was one for the books here at South Wind Ranch! We were able to partner with Upstate Event Services to throw our very first Southern Sunset Concert, a benefit concert for Isaiah 117 House Greenville!
About 130 guests joined us for an evening filled with live music, good food, and an even better purpose. Boy Named Banjo, now Breakfield, headlined the night supported by Charlie Lunsford! With the sun setting over the ranch, it honestly felt like the perfect backdrop for such a meaningful night.
The night kicked off with a VIP Experience where guests were treated to a delicious meal from Coastal Crust Mobile Eatery, along with complimentary cocktails from South Wind Ranch Spirits. VIP guests also enjoyed acoustical sets by Max Hoover-Dempsey & Brooks Dixon. Later in the evening Rad Dads BBQ fed the crowd their famous bar-b-que and beef brisket while The Happy Tappy Camper served up craft beer on taps.
“This evening demonstrated the power of music and community to create a lasting impact. ”
What stood out most to us, though, was how much of a community effort this night was. Between the artists, vendors, and guests, it really felt like everyone came together for something bigger than ourselves. Even though the final donation count is still coming in, we’re thrilled to share that the concert has already raised more than $5,000 for Isaiah 117 House Greenville. That money will go directly toward providing a home that gives physical and emotional support to children awaiting placement in the foster care system.
Before the music got underway on the main stage, guests got the opportunity to learn more about the cause that brought us all together. Jenna Weaver, with Isaiah 117 House Greenville, shared her foster care story and emphasized why her leadership in launching this mission in the Greenville area is personal. Jenna and her staff are working tirelessly under the Isaiah 117 model to provide a safe and home like environment with volunteers to care for children during the stressful period between removal from their homes and placement with a foster family. Construction of the Greenville, SC home is currently underway.
David Revels, co-presenting sponsor and owner of Upstate Event Services, took to the mic to fire up the crowd and asked them donate using the QR codes displayed around the venue. Well it worked! The organization raised close to $3,000 onsite that night.
The main stage opened with an amazing performance by Charlie Lunsford. With raw, gritty vocals and storytelling lyrics, Charlie grabbed the crowd's attention, raising excitement and bringing everyone closer to the stage.
When Boy Named Banjo—now performing as Breakfield— took the stage, the energy shifted immediately. Known for their seamless blend of bluegrass, folk, and rock, the Nashville-based band has spent the past decade building a loyal following across the country.
They wasted no time igniting the crowd, opening their set with the ever-popular “Blue Hole Bridge.” The song, beloved by fans for its foot-stomping rhythm and nostalgic lyrics, had guests out of their chairs and on their feet, singing and clapping along. From there, the band leaned into a setlist that showcased both their roots and their range: heartfelt covers of John Prine classics, unreleased new material that left fans eager for more, and of course, their best-selling hits that have defined their sound and won over audiences nationwide.
One of the evening’s most memorable highlights came when Charlie Lunsford was invited back to join Breakfield on stage. Together, they launched into a jam session of “Good Feel,” a beloved anthem among fans. For Charlie—who has long admired Boy Named Banjo—this moment was more than just a song; it was a full-circle experience and a dream realized in front of an enthusiastic crowd. You can find Charlie Lunsford & Breakfield on all streaming platforms. Breakfield has a new single out TODAY called Canyon Walls and it’s available to download now!
“It’s exciting to see our venue not only as a beautiful wedding destination, but also as a space where the community can gather, celebrate, and give back. Something tells me this is just the beginning!”

The Southern Sunset Concert was a night to remember and reminded us why we created this event: to bring people together for nights that celebrate great music, community, and the beauty of South Wind Ranch. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and can’t wait to see you at the next show.
